As the Director of Community Relations and Strategic Initiatives for Friends of Waterfront Park, Marie Kidhe played a pivotal role in the successful execution of the "Elevating Our Promise Mixer" during the 2023 MLB All-Star Week in Seattle. In collaboration with Baseball Beyond Borders (BBB) and Taelore Rhoden of Métier Brewing Co., Marie leveraged her extensive network and established relationships to ensure the event's success. She was instrumental in securing the Hudson Properties rooftop space as the venue and acquiring key sponsorships from Converge, Uncle Nearest, the Seattle Sports Commission, and Métier Brewing Company.

Marie’s role extended to managing event logistics, coordinating efforts to create an unforgettable atmosphere with the support of the highly-sought consultant, Taelore Rhoden, supporting BBB in achieving a sold-out event. Her strategic oversight and collaborative approach helped to elevate the platform and mission of Baseball Beyond Borders, resulting in a seamless and impactful experience for all attendees.

The Mixer was a resounding success, cultivating an electric atmosphere that brought together a diverse group of individuals united by a shared passion for empowering youth through sports. This dynamic event fostered strong connections, laying the groundwork for a collaborative community dedicated to making a positive impact in Seattle. Attendees were inspired to support Black organizations, contributing to Baseball Beyond Borders' mission. he event's exclusive waterfront setting and electrifying rooftop ambiance created a memorable experience, solidifying attendees' commitment to the cause.
